TARIGS MountainRock Backpack – Hiking backpack for dogs

The perfect backpack for small, medium-sized & large dogs up to a maximum of 20 kg. With its four sizes, the dog carrier backpack is suitable for small dog breeds such as Chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers, but also for Miniature Pinschers, West Highland White Terriers and Bosten Terriers up to medium-sized dog breeds such as Cocker Spaniels, Basenji and similar dog breeds. The 20 kg MountainRock Backpack is suitable for large dogs such as many Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Spitz and Whippets. The hiking backpack is also ideal for cats. Some dogs can be put in the backpack immediately and carried around relaxed, others have to get used to the backpack first. Similar to a dog transport box. How much training is necessary depends on the character, age and breed of your dog.

How to get your dog used to the dog carrier backpack:

  1. Exercise your dog physically and mentally. For example with a long hike, a bike tour, etc.
  2. Put your dog in the backpack from above. Reward with treats. Slowly extend the time in the backpack. Tip: You do not have to start running immediately.
  3. When you’re ready, put your dog in the backpack and the backpack on your back. Alternatively, you can wear the backpack at the front. Due to the ergonomics, however, we do not recommend that you carry the backpack for a long time at the front, especially with medium-weight dogs. Tip: First place the backpack on an elevated object, for example a table, on your back.

The dog carrier backpack is available in 2 materials. An extremely light and robust PVC material or a sustainable and durable vegan leather (artificial leather – MADE IN GERMANY).

Both materials are water-repellent and offer the dog good protection. Important: The backpacks are not 100 percent waterproof. This is not possible due to the need for air circulation, which must be ensured. The inside of the rucksack is also made of high-quality, dirt-repellent materials. This means that no matter how wet, dirty or muddy your furry friend is. Simply sit inside and rinse the rucksack with water in the shower or in the garden after the tour and dry it off.

The dog carrier backpack has a window. This is closed with a zipper. The 3D mesh is translucent and air permeable. How to open the window? Open the zipper, roll up the 3D mesh and fasten it on top with the small buckle.

The ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and back panel are padded with 3D mesh. This, in combination with the hip belt and sternum strap, ensures a comfortable fit. Inspired by the large, professional climbing backpacks, the TARIGS MountainRock Backpack has two removable metal bars. These ensure that the back of the backpack remains vertical even under heavy load. This ensures a perfect wearing comfort. The absolute USP of our TARIGS MountainRock Backpack. Another unique feature of our backpack is the intelligent metal frame. Thanks to the stability of the opening, this allows you to simply place your dog in the backpack from above.

There are two mesh pockets on the right side of the dog carrier backpack. (The backpack in Small has one mesh pocket.) The larger pocket is perfect for a large water bottle. The smaller pocket is ideal for poop bags, treats and much more. On the other side, there is a large zipped pocket on the outside. E.g., another water bottle fits in. Inside the backpack is another zipped pocket. You can easily store all important items, such as keys, wallet and much more.

On both sides of the backpack are air holes along the back for ventilation. Air holes and window (made of 3D mesh) ensure good air circulation. The 3D mesh is translucent and air permeable.

The solid and waterproof bottom of the dog backpack is especially important for the comfort of your dog when carrying in a backpack. The stable floor is cushioned about 1 cm thick and ensures that your dog does not “sag”. The strap in the backpack is used to attach and thus secure your dog. However, we always recommend using a harness and attach to the carabiner of the tether. Of course, the dog backpack also has a sturdy handle to carry the backpack.

The first dog carrier backpack for dogs up to 20 kg (maximum load), which allows the dog to sit in a natural position. The 20 kg MountainRock Backpack is suitable for medium to large dogs such as many Australia Shepard, Border Collie, Large Spitz and Whippet.

The hiking backpack for dogs is equipped with air holes and the window, so that ventilation is provided. If it is very warm outside, it will also be warm in the backpack, regardless of the material. So please pay attention to the “rules”, which otherwise apply on warm days for your dog.

There are numerous situations where a backpack for carrying dogs and cats (hiking backpack for dogs) is surprisingly practical. This includes…

  • Put your dog inside from above.
  • Attach your dog to the backpack with a harness.

    Ich habe lange nach einem passenden Rucksack (Größe Medium) für meinen Jack Russell Terrier (29cm Schulterhöhe & 7,7 kg schwer) und mich gesucht. Zuvor hatte ich den von Kurgo G-Train bestellt. Der saß unangenehm auf meine unteren Rücken, weil der Bereich viel zu steif und hart ist. Gefühlt war der Rucksack auch kleiner, wobei die Abmessungen vergleichbar sind. Der MountainRock Backpack ist für mich und meinem Hund perfekt.

    Wow! La livraison a été super rapide. J’ai hâte de l’essayer! J’ai pris un medium même si le site suggérait un small pour la grosseur de mon chien. J’ai un teckel et M c’est parfait avec les couvertures pour la protéger du froid, small aurait été trop petit et mon chien pèse 11 livres. Sérieusement le sac est parfait pour la marche. Le poids de mon chien était super bien équilibré, aucune douleur aux épaules ou au dos dans les heures qui ont suivi. C’est un produit génial! Tarigs…. j’adore!!! Merci pour le beau produit!

    Ich hatte hoch und runter nach einer hochwertigeren Tasche für meinen Chihuahua gesucht, nachdem die letzte, die ich gekauft hatte, auseinanderfiel. Der backpack ist gerade erst angekommen, also bin ich mir nicht sicher, wie lange es dauern wird – aber dieses Produkt erscheint sehr gut gemacht und robust. Mein Hund hatte kein Problem, direkt hineinzuspringen und das Design macht es super bequem zu tragen. bisher lieben wir es!

    Au départ, je devais acheter un sac à dos pour chat avec une bulle en plastique, mais je suis vraiment contente d’avoir choisi ce produit. J’essaie encore de faire en sorte que mon chat s’y habitue, mais je suis impressionnée de voir à quel point il l’aime !

    Ich liebe den Rucksack und kann mich nur meinen Vorrednern anschließen.
    Einen Stern muss ich jedoch abziehen.
    Einen halben dafür, dass es wirklich schon bei 20 Grad sehr warm im Rucksack wird. Bin gespannt, wie das im Sommer werden soll.
    Und einen halben ziehe ich ab dafür, dass der Hund trotz Leine problemlos aus dem Rucksack rausklettern kann. Sobald mein Hund von jemandem begrüßt wird, steckt er die Vorderpfoten aus dem Rucksack raus und hängt an seinem Geschirr. Ich würde mir hier eine etwas bessere Lösung wünschen, zum Beispiel zwei Leinen, eine von der linken Ecke und eine von der rechten Ecke. Vielleicht rüsten wir hier selbst nochmal nach, damit es ein bisschen weniger gefährlich ist.

    Tatsächlich schreibe ich nicht gerne Rezensionen und lege auch nicht allzu viel wert darauf. Es Bewerten sowieso nur Leute, die entweder sehr zufrieden oder sehr unzufrieden sind. In diesem Fall komme ich der Bitte gerne nach und schreibe eine ehrlich Rezension.

    Zuallererst vielen Dank für die nette ausführliche Beratung. Ich war mir nicht sicher, welche Größe des Rucksacks für meinen Malteser geeignet ist. Die Beratung per E-Mail (!) hat wunderbar funktioniert. Ich hätte mich jedoch gerne am Telefon oder noch besser vor Ort beraten lassen. Ich habe mich letztendlich für die mittlere Größe entschieden. Meine Hündin hat mehr Platz und ich kann mehr in den Taschen unterbringen. Ich werde eventuell noch ein Kissen in den Rucksack legen, damit sie etwas höher und kuscheliger sitzt. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass ein entsprechendes Produkt direkt bei Tarigs.de mitgeliefert oder bestellt werden kann. Das Fenster könnte für meine Hündin etwas niedriger sein, dafür müsste der Rucksack nicht so hoch sein. Ich habe mich direkt in das Design verliebt. Der Rucksack ist für unsere Bedürfnisse einwandfrei geeignet. Mit ein wenig Kreativität lassen sich die Trekkingstöcker auch befestigen. Trotz der großen Taschen hat mein Hündin ausreichend Platz im Rucksack. Selbst, wenn alle Taschen komplett gefüllt sind, ist ausreichend Platz für einen 10 – 11 kg Hund.
