TARIGS ROOFPACKER – Cat Backpack, also for Dogs

As the first cat backpack, the TARIGS ROOFPACKER was specially developed for large cats and offers a unique combination of comfort and functionality. It features an excellent carrying frame, a padded hip belt and a “ROOFTOP” function, so your cat can also observe the happenings from above. Its compact dimensions make it a true all-rounder, suitable for both dogs and cats. The low weight of 2.7 kg and the square lying surface make the ROOFPACKER the ideal companion for all outdoor activities. The integrated pockets offer enough space for all your important utensils, such as treats, toys or drinking bottles.

Some pets can be put into the backpack straight away and carried around in a relaxed manner, others first have to get used to the backpack. Similar to a transport box. The amount of training required depends on your pet’s character, age and breed.

How to get your pet used to our carrier backpacks (quick guide):

  1. Exercise your pet physically and mentally. For example, with a long hike, a bike ride, etc.
  2. Put your pet in the backpack or let it run into it. Reward them with treats. Slowly extend the time in the rucksack. Tip: You don’t have to start running/riding straight away.
  3. Close the backpack when you are ready and put it on your back. Alternatively, you can also carry the backpack on your front. However, due to ergonomics, we do not recommend carrying the backpack on your front for long periods of time, especially with medium-weight animals. Tip: First place the rucksack on your back from an elevated object, such as a table.

The cat backpack is made from super high-quality and durable Cordura. Cordura is a particularly robust, dirt and water-repellent material. It is also very supple and lightweight. Thanks to its high durability, Cordura is breathable and quick-drying.

The ROOFPACKER for Cats & Dogs has three windows. These can each be closed with a zipper. The 3D mesh is permeable to both light and air. This means that dogs, cats and the like can look out even when the window is closed. Want to leave the windows open? No problem! Simply open the zipper on each window, roll up the 3D mesh and fasten it at the top with the small buckle.

The backpack for cats and dogs has ergonomically shaped shoulder straps and a padded hip belt with integrated zippered pockets. The open-pored back padding fits comfortably and prevents pressure points. This keeps your pet particularly close to your body’s center of gravity and ensures optimum balance. The various adjustment options allow you to adjust the rucksack to the optimum position. The carrying system allows the load to be shifted to the hips.

The dog and cat rucksack itself has a stable 360° frame, making it unbeatable in terms of stability.

The backpack has a total of three mesh pockets. Two on one side and one on the other. Here you can store drinking bottles, poop bags, treats and much more. In the front area (outside), the backpack has an attached zippered pocket. Inside you will find another large zippered pocket where you can store your equipment and food.

There are windows on three sides of the ROOFPACKER. These ensure good air circulation. The 3D mesh of the window is both light and air-permeable.

The water-repellent and robust base of the backpack for cats and dogs is particularly important for your pet’s comfort when being carried in the backpack. The sturdy base is padded approx. 1 cm thick and ensures that your pet does not “sag”.

The “ROOFTOP” function gives the cat backpack a stable, padded roof. With a load capacity of up to 10 kg, it allows even large cats to relax and observe their surroundings from above.

A flexible, integrated retaining strap is used to secure your pet. The ROOFPACKER’s retaining strap has 2 carabiners so that it can be attached inside and on the roof. If you want to transport 2 pets in the backpack, you can also get a second strap from us. This is particularly important when cycling. We recommend that you always attach your pet to the carabiner of the harness with a harness. Of course, our rucksack also has a sturdy handle that you can use to carry the rucksack in your hand.

The backpack is equipped with three openings / three mesh windows, so ventilation is provided. Of course, if it is very warm outside, it will also be warm in the backpack, regardless of the material. So please follow the “rules”, which otherwise also apply on hot days.

There are numerous situations in which a dog or cat backpack is surprisingly practical. These include…

  • Set up the backpack and open the entrance completely.
  • Place your pet inside or let it walk in.
  • Attach your pet to the harness of the backpack with a harness.
  • Close the backpack.
  • Keep changing the sitting direction if your pet does not do this by itself. This ensures ideal weight distribution.
  • The shoulder straps must be adjusted depending on the application.
