Below you can find the dimensions of all variants of dog carrier backpacks by TARIGS. The PeakStone Backpack is a bit more comfortable, wider and even more airy with the three windows, but of course a bit more expensive. Choose the right size

For your dog

First, you need the shoulder height, back length and weight of your dog. Especially for dogs with longer backs, such as dachshunds, the back length and the seat area of the backpack are also important in addition to the shoulder height.

Usually, size Small is suitable for dogs with a shoulder height of up to 25 cm | 10″.

For dogs that are between 35 and 40 cm high, the Medium and Large sizes are usually suitable, as well as the Bulldog Backpack and the ROOFPACKER. Decide according to your personal preference: Is your dog rather narrow or wide built? Do you want your dog to have as much space as possible? Do you prefer your dog carrier to be as small as possible?

The exception is for dogs with long backs, like dachshunds. For these dogs, the size should be chosen mainly according to the seat of the backpack. For miniature dachshunds, the Medium size is mostly suitable. Standard dachshunds usually fit in the size Large. For “larger” dogs with particularly long backs and low shoulder height, even size Large may be too small.

It’s best to put the TARIGS Booster Seat in your MountainRock Backpack or PeakStone Backpack, so your dog sits higher.

TARIGS Dachshund Backpack is designed for Dachshunds and dogs with a similar physique. It is characterized by the large width and low height and is suitable for small & medium-sized dogs.

For dogs with a shoulder height between 25 | 10 and 35 cm | 14″ usually size Medium is suitable.

From 40 cm shoulder height, we recommend the Large size (MountainRock Backpack / PeakStone Backpack) and the ROOFPACKER (up to max. 45 cm shoulder height). The window has a height of approx. 50 cm. The shoulder height is therefore limited to approx. 50 cm.

Ab 50 cm Schulterhöhe empfehlen wir den 20 kg MountainRock Backpack. Das Fenster ist ca. 60 cm hoch. Entsprechend ist die Schulterhöhe auf ca. 60 cm begrenzt.
