This bag is amazing!!! Easy to coax our dog with treats and she loved being on my back while we rode bikes. We got a size L which fit perfectly – she is a 24lb small poodle (tall and very skinny). She felt heavy on my back after a while (half an hour or so) when we were hiking uphill, but this bag is comfortable and super well made so the straps weren’t digging into our anything. And my dog seemed very comfortable the whole time!

Such a sturdy and beautifully crafted carrier. There is a nifty pocket inside, a firm, cushioned base and a large pocket on the outside for leashes, portable water bottles etc…Would recommend to anyone!

Absolutely in love with this backpack! One of my favorite purchases ever. Besides the most obvious how beautiful and well made it is, I live in the city am on my bike and take public transportation when I can’t walk. If I use the backpack, I can bike my dog to all the vet appointments. A big plus for me and my body and exactly what I was looking for. It’s also sturdy and well made, like normal backpack, so I feel more comfortable biking with it than those thin fabric backpack straps you see. God forbid there is an accident, I know it has a certain level of protection that other bags just can’t provide. The backpack also has a top handle to hold it like a regular tote bag. My dog loves it: he loves to watch and is curious. This allows him to see the world. The inside gives him plenty of room to sit or lay down (he weighs 10 pounds). It’s so nice (and also to make him more comfortable) to leave it as another bed in the house for him. The packaging it came in was also nice and stores well. Basically, you get what you pay for and this is worth every penny.

My dog (14 years old, a Westie from a shelter) has more and more difficulty accompanying us on our walks, even in the low mountains. He likes it so much that we can’t decide to go without him. Until the last time when we had to carry him back half the way! Too heavy for him… and for us! So we decided to buy this bag “for safety”, for the next too difficult hikes. We weren’t sure if he would like it at all and only wanted to use it in exceptional cases. It is much more comfortable than we expected, for him as well as for us! He can sit with his head in it without any problems, he can even lie down in it (even if it is a bit tight due to his size), the bottom stays stiff, he is not stressed at all, and he is still very comfortable to carry. It has to be said that he walks better uphill than downhill, so he climbs on all fours and only uses human back transport on the way down when it’s easier for us! If we had known this, we would have bought him much sooner, because this way we can finally go for a walk without having to make sure he still makes the way back.

Finally a high quality dog backpack and sturdy enough to safely transport a 9kg terrier. The backpack is wider than other models and the dog can see out not only from the top but also through a side opening. Compared to backpacks I’ve bought before, this one is exceptionally well made and of high quality, which in my view justifies the price. In the front pocket is space for utensils, such as keys, wallet, treats, etc. . Particularly noteworthy are the very well padded carrying straps and the padded back section.

Our golden doodle puppy absolutely loves being in the Tarigs carrier! Sadly I expect she will soon outgrow. But it has proved invaluable for the first few weeks when he needs to be taken around for hiking and biking but cannot go down on the ground. Yes it is a high price, but it’s really worth it and it now means our little pup can join us on even longer and tougher hikes.

I’m really happy I purchased this bag! My lil pup may be even happier :). He did not like it at first though (he’s claustrophobic) but once he figured out the bag meant adventure, he can’t wait to get back into it. We were able to walk into stores and restaurants without an issue and went on some long hikes. Very comfortable backpack. It’s really roomy; I’m able to carry my dog and many other things! I’m super impressed with the quality.
